At the American Language Academy, we believe that learning a language is more than just mastering grammar and vocabulary — it’s about building connections, gaining confidence, and creating memories that last a lifetime. This summer, we had the privilege of celebrating exactly that with our Summer Graduation 2026.
A Special Afternoon Together
Our Summer Graduation was a heartwarming celebration filled with great food, laughter, and meaningful conversations. Students, staff, and faculty came together to mark the end of an incredible 9-week journey — one that challenged our students, pushed their boundaries, and helped them grow in ways they never imagined.
We shared a delicious meal, enjoyed each other’s company, and took a moment to reflect on all that had been accomplished throughout the session.
Stories Worth Telling
One of the most memorable parts of the evening was hearing directly from our students. Each one shared their personal experience at ALA — from the challenges they faced in their first weeks to the breakthroughs that made everything fall into place. Their stories were honest, inspiring, and a reminder of why we do what we do every day.
Some talked about arriving nervous and uncertain, unsure if they could keep up. Others spoke about the friendships they built along the way — connections that crossed cultures, languages, and borders. And many shared how their confidence in speaking English transformed not just in the classroom, but in their everyday lives outside of ALA.
9 Weeks of Hard Work and Dedication
This summer, our ALA students took their English skills beyond the classroom! ☕
During their 9-week program, students visited downtown Greensboro, where they grabbed a coffee and interviewed local customers about two hot topics: July 4th celebrations and the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Real conversations, real people, real English — that’s the ALA experience!
Nine weeks may sound like a short time, but at ALA, a lot can happen. Our students dedicated themselves to intensive English study, embracing every class, every assignment, and every conversation as an opportunity to improve. Watching them walk away more confident, more fluent, and more prepared for their next steps is the greatest reward our team could ask for.
Thank You to Our Students
To every student who was part of this summer session — thank you. Thank you for your hard work, your enthusiasm, and your trust in ALA. You came here to learn, and you left having grown in ways that go far beyond the classroom.
We are incredibly proud of each one of you, and we cannot wait to see where your journey takes you next.
Until next time — keep speaking, keep learning, and keep growing.
